Cursor Cloud Agents Get Subscriptions: Agents Now Watch PRs, Slack Threads and Cron Triggers on Their Own

Cursor's 2026-08-19 changelog adds Subscriptions, letting cloud agents pick up work from events rather than prompts. Agents automatically subscribe to PRs they open and, per Cursor, "drive them to completion, fixing CI and addressing bot comments"; they can also watch a Slack thread or run on a schedule. This moves the trigger for agent work out of the editor entirely, which is the same event-driven shape a self-hosted cron pipeline already uses.
