A Florida Officer Ran 717 Flock Searches on His Estranged Wife Over 21 Months, and Only Got Caught Because She Called a Reporter
Haines City police officer Christopher Anthony Goodson, 31, was arrested 2026-08-11 on one count of offenses against users of computers and one count of official misconduct after running 717 Flock license-plate searches on his estranged wife's vehicle between 2024-09-01 and 2026-06-30. Investigators found the vehicle 'was never involved in any type of criminal investigation.' The audit only happened because his wife contacted The Washington Post, which is the part builders of any surveillance-adjacent system should sit with: 21 months and 717 queries produced no internal alert.
