HyNote for Mac took the day selling free local transcription that is 100% private, beating xAI's Grok 4.6 launch (284 votes, pitched at long-running agents) into second. Third was Checksum AI at 231 votes with the tagline 'your coding agent's testing buddy', generating and auto-healing Playwright end-to-end and API tests on every PR and telling you whether a failure is a real bug or a stale test. Seven of the top ten were AI or developer tools, including Aloud at 119 votes turning spoken feedback into tasks a coding agent can run.
