Salesforce Launched Slack Code, Putting Claude Code, Devin, Codex and Copilot Into Self-Archiving Project Channels, Free on Every Plan
Slack Code shipped August 20. You tag a coding agent in a conversation and it opens a project-specific channel where the whole team watches the work, audits diffs, sees live HTML previews, leaves feedback the agent picks up, and approves before anything ships. Claude, ChatGPT, Devin and Copilot are founding partners, each channel keeps an audit log, and the channel archives itself when the assignment completes. It is free on every Slack plan, which is the aggressive part. The HN thread ran 75 points and 102 comments, heavier on comments than upvotes, which usually signals argument rather than enthusiasm.
