Crunchbase News published five deals today, all AI, all closed in July: Greyparrot took £20.3M ($27M) Series B for computer vision that identifies materials in recycling plants, Emesent raised $17M for LiDAR autonomy in GPS-denied mines, SoundHealth $12.25M Series A, Forge Industries $3.85M, and Cascade $3.5M seed from a16z speedrun and Ada Ventures. Cascade is the vertical SaaS story: it reads property transactions and bond filings to surface commercial projects early, which is the pre-construction lead data that Dodge and ConstructConnect sell as a subscription.
