Vercel Labs' 6.4 MB Zig coding agent fx is at 2,302 stars in 13 days and has already grown ports, forks and a skills list
fx reached 2,302 stars and 240 forks since its 2026-08-11 creation, about 177 stars a day, with v0.0.5 published 2026-08-21. It ships as one 6.39 MiB native binary with no runtime, is Apache-2.0, and supports skills, MCP servers and subagents behind an approval gate. The ecosystem formed fast: eng2007/fx-windows (a Windows compat-layer port), doriangironde/ax (a fork, created 2026-08-23) and two separate awesome-fx-skills lists all exist already.
