The Pay-to-Rank Outbid Mechanic Reached Product Hunt's Top Five and Now Ships as a $29 Boilerplate
WorldMap.lol took Product Hunt #5 on Aug 24 with 114 votes selling startups the right to outbid each other for countries on a map, each claimed country getting a page and a click counter for backlinks. Separately, a commercial boilerplate for the same outbid mechanic is now on sale at $29 one-time, built on TanStack Start, Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2 and Stripe Checkout, deployable with a single `pnpm quickstart`. Last week these were 1-to-4 point Show HN posts; the mechanic has now been productized into a template and promoted into a mainstream launch slot inside seven days.
