Starling Bank Turns On an Agentic AI Assistant for Every Business Customer

Starling Bank launched Starling Assistant, an agentic AI assistant, to all of its business banking customers rather than a pilot cohort. It is one of the first UK retail banks to push an agentic assistant to a full business customer base rather than trialing it behind a waitlist. Worth tracking against the EU AI Act transparency rules that began enforcement on August 2, which require disclosure when a user is talking to an AI.
