Gemini Enterprise for Legal Launched the Same Day With Cleary Gottlieb, Freshfields, Weil and Williams & Connolly
Google Cloud also launched Gemini Enterprise for Legal on August 25, 2026, in preview, with four named launch firms and connectors into the document management, e-discovery and legal research systems firms already run. It ships legal-specific skills and pre-built agents for contract review, diligence, regulatory monitoring and privacy requests, plus governance primitives specific to the vertical: ethical walls, matter permissions and confidentiality controls. This is aimed squarely at the research and diligence spend currently going to legal-research incumbents, and healthcare and life sciences editions are stated as next.
