Lovable's CTO says the product is becoming agent-callable capabilities exposed through a hosted MCP server
In a Latent Space interview published 2026-08-26, Lovable CTO Fabian Hedin describes shipping capabilities, meaning selected functions from a published Lovable app exposed as tools through a hosted MCP server, so one application ends up with a human UI and an agent interface usable from ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients. The agent can also schedule itself to resume a task later, for example to check a deployment, and return the result into the same conversation. Menlo Ventures partner Deedy Das puts Lovable past a $500M annualized run rate with over 60 million projects created and more than 900 million monthly visits to Lovable-built apps; Menlo led a $400M Series C this month at a $13.3B valuation. Vercel is chasing the same company-brain idea with its internal agent @v.
