GitHub's changelog carried three enterprise AI governance items on August 26: Global model policy went generally available, letting organizations enforce consistent AI model usage standards across deployments; enterprise-managed settings gained autoUpdate support for plugin marketplaces; and GitHub Apps can now read enterprise billing data. The day before, the Copilot app Customize tab went GA. The pattern across four entries in two days is that Copilot's enterprise surface is shifting from feature rollout to model and plugin control planes.
