Meta's Muse Image Lands on Vercel AI Gateway, Its First Image Family Outside Meta's Own Apps
Vercel's changelog added Muse Image from Meta Superintelligence Labs to AI Gateway, making Meta's first image generation model available through a third-party routing layer rather than only Meta AI, Instagram Stories and WhatsApp. The model itself launched July 7, 2026 and is a separate family from Muse Spark, returning images rather than text, with Meta's internal benchmarks putting it behind OpenAI's GPT Image 2 but ahead of Nano Banana 2 on single- and multi-image editing.
