The jetbrains/v7.1.1 release on 2026-08-28 fixes compaction recovery replaying requests incorrectly, looping, or dropping pending tool progress in Kilo Core, and fixes subagents returning empty task responses instead of real results. It also fixes unsafe indexing and checkpoint cleanup in filesystem roots, home directories, and protected parent directories, and stops duplicated plan-mode permission rule stacking. A subagent that silently returns nothing is the worst failure mode in a multi-agent run because the orchestrator treats it as a completed step.
