Hugging Face's $399 Microduck biped took $2.6M in orders in 24 hours, with the full RL training stack on GitHub under Apache-2.0

Pollen Robotics, the French firm Hugging Face acquired last year, opened pre-orders for a 25cm open-source biped with 15 actuators, a camera, lidar and two motion sensors that walks, sits, kicks, rollerskates and grasps small objects. Orders passed $1M six hours after launch and $2.6M within 24 hours, with first deliveries targeted before Christmas 2026 in North America, Europe and the UK. Behaviours are trained in physics simulation and deployed straight to hardware, and the SDK, simulator and training stack are all Apache-2.0, which makes it the cheapest end-to-end sim-to-real loop a solo builder can currently buy.
