Anthropic posts a $700,000 Head of National Security Sales role days after a judge voided the Pentagon's risk label
The listing asks the hire to 'lead and scale our national security sales organization to drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI across the Department of War and the Intelligence Community,' at up to $700,000 a year. It lands immediately after a federal judge blocked the Pentagon's blacklisting of Anthropic, a dispute that started with Anthropic refusing to let the military use Claude for domestic surveillance or autonomous weapons. The American Prospect's read on August 27 is that the company is rebuilding the contracting pipeline it spent the year refusing to compromise on.
