browser-use shipped video-use to 22,116 stars without ever cutting a release tag
browser-use/video-use lets you edit video by chatting with Claude Code, Codex, Hermes or OpenClaw: raw footage into a folder, final.mp4 back out. The trick is that the model never sees pixels, only a transcript with word-level timestamps, which is what gives it cut precision at individual word boundaries for filler removal, color grading, audio fades, burned subtitles and Manim overlays. Its releases endpoint returns an empty array, and its last commit at 2026-08-30 09:45 UTC was about refusing to upload a silent audio track.
