Kilo Code Shipped a Native JetBrains Agent and Named Cursor, Claude Code, Antigravity and Codex 3.0 as Its Alternatives
Kilo Code for JetBrains took Product Hunt's #1 slot on September 1 with 234 upvotes, an MIT-licensed plugin covering IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm, PyCharm, GoLand, Rider, PhpStorm, CLion and RubyMine with parallel agents, GitHub PR integration, inline diffs, BYOK and access to 500+ models. The Product Hunt page lists Cursor, Claude Code, Google Antigravity, Codex 3.0 and opencode as alternatives, which is an explicit bet that the IDE, not the terminal, is the contested surface for JetBrains shops. The Kilo-Org/kilocode repo carries 27,116 stars under MIT, and the company claims 5M+ users and 10T+ tokens processed monthly.
