Cashfree Took Relay to General Availability Free, With Outcome-Based Pricing Held Back for Later
Cashfree Payments moved Relay, its AI "Super Agent" for SMB payment operations, from a merchant beta running since May 2026 to general availability for all customers, reported by Business Standard on August 30. Relay executes rather than flags: failed payment retries, abandoned cart recovery, cash-on-delivery confirmation, subscription management and dispute filing, configured by a merchant describing the outcome in prompt or speech, with Cashfree claiming roughly 60 hours a week of payment operations compressed to 45 minutes. It runs entirely on Cashfree's infrastructure with no merchant transaction data sent to external AI providers, and is free at launch with outcome-based pricing planned as adoption grows.
