SaaStr ran Salesforce headless for six months and its data usage went up 10x while the bill went up 40%
SaaStr says almost nobody there has logged into the Salesforce UI in six-plus months. They went at the Salesforce API directly, built a Claude-based agent on top called 10K, and folded marketing and finance data (Bill, Brex, QuickBooks) into the same layer, running on a small human team plus 20+ production agents. The pricing signal matters for anyone doing this: agents hammer the API constantly instead of a rep checking twice a day, so data usage rose roughly 10x and the Salesforce bill rose about 40%, with no change in seat count.
