A screenshot of a model string reading GPT-6-ASTRA staged on the OpenAI API drew 658 upvotes on r/singularity, alongside a purported leaked chat thread at 409 and an insider account naming two checkpoints under test, ultima-alpha and vega-alpha. Separately, a user spotted OpenAI's Daybreak trusted-access-for-cyber help article updated within the last few hours and read it as launch preparation. Everything here is circumstantial and none of it is an OpenAI announcement, so treat the naming as the only real datum: if it ships it is GPT-6, not 5.7.
