Claude Code quietly gained a `/limit-reset` command that clears the 5-hour session cap once per week
A user hit their session limit and was offered a new `/limit-reset` command, which returned "Session limit reset, next reset available Sep 4 at 2pm, your weekly limit still applies." The subreddit's auto-generated consensus summary is blunt about the scope: it resets only the 5-hour session window, once a week, and every message sent afterwards still counts toward the weekly cap. Power users in the thread say they rarely hit the session limit at all and read this as an escape hatch for the wrong constraint.
