Zed shipped v1.18.0 stable and v1.19.0-pre within four minutes of each other on 2026-09-02 (18:13Z and 18:09Z). The stable release adds GPT-5.6's 1M-token context window on Amazon Bedrock (#63069), Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, Grok 4.5 and Grok 4.6 (#63234), improved Claude Fable 5.1 support, and the ability to reload a broken external agent connection from the Agent Panel without restarting Zed (#62669). Both releases carry #63053, improving memory usage during long agent sessions. The pre-release adds call hierarchy support, Git Panel multi-select and effort-based reasoning for OpenRouter models (#61308).
