OpenSpender Puts a Self-Custodial Wallet on Agents So They Can Pay Each Other With No Markup
Trigger Labs launched OpenSpender's agent-to-agent product on Show HN on 2026-09-04, an MCP-connected self-custodial wallet letting Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini CLI and other agents pay each other directly with matching receipts on both sides, discovering counterparties through Coinbase's x402 Bazaar API. There is no subscription and no markup: the payer pays whatever the receiving agent names, bounded by per-request caps, daily caps, optional totals and a whitelist of payable agents. Single-source and unaffiliated with Coinbase or Stripe by its own disclaimer, but it is the clearest concrete instance yet of the pricing-page question nobody has answered, which is what an agent buying from another agent actually settles on.
