XPeng's IRON humanoid walked off an 80%-automated production line in Guangzhou under its own power
XPeng calls it the first automated production line for advanced humanoid robots, with more than 80% of core processes automated to automotive-grade standards. IRON has 76 degrees of freedom across the body and 21 per hand, and runs three in-house Turing AI chips totaling up to 2,250 TOPS with no teleoperation. Mass production is targeted for end of 2026 into XPeng's own stores and campuses, commercial sales in 2027, and the stated long-term goal is 1,000+ units monthly scaling toward a million a year by 2030.
