ADI announced on September 9 that it will pay Alif stockholders $1.35 billion at closing with up to $200 million more contingent, for a Pleasanton company making microcontrollers and fusion processors built for real-time sensor fusion and low-latency on-device inference. The deal needs Hart-Scott-Rodino clearance and ADI expects to close by end of 2026. It is ADI's second AI acquisition this year after the $1.5 billion Empower Semiconductor deal aimed at data center power delivery.
