Hydra Adopts Existing Agent Sessions Instead of Spawning Its Own, With a PTY Daemon and No Inbound Port
hydraterm/hydra-local hit Show HN on September 9 at 14 points, an open-source agentic terminal in native Rust that finds agent sessions already running on the machine, keeps them alive after the app closes, and exposes them to a browser without opening an inbound port. That is a different bet from every hosted agent console: the session is the machine's, not the vendor's, so there is nothing to migrate and nothing to trust. Apache-2.0, 8 stars, created August 11.
