Anthropic Publishes 'Enabling Claude Code to Work More Autonomously' — Checkpoint System, VS Code Beta, Agent SDK Rename
Anthropic published a technical blog post detailing new autonomy primitives: a Checkpoint System that auto-saves code state before every edit (revert with /rewind), a native VS Code extension beta with inline diff sidebar, Background Tasks for persistent dev servers, and the Claude Code SDK officially renamed to Claude Agent SDK.
