The Washington Post·high signal
NSA director Gen. Joshua M. Rudd is creating five new mission organizations at Fort Meade covering artificial intelligence, China, cybersecurity, warfighting support and global intelligence, each run by a 'mission director' holding the effective authority of a deputy director. Redesigns are due by end of month, public rollout is mid-October, and full operating capacity is targeted for mid-January. Rudd has signaled the center heads may be hired from outside the agency.
