Onyx v4.7.2 sends reasoning_effort=none for GPT-5.4+ tool calls over chat completions
Released 2026-09-13 with a hard upgrade warning: do not take this release if you want to preserve existing indexed documents and have not yet run the OpenSearch document index migration, which can be done from any v3.x. The cherry-picked fixes are #14603, sending reasoning_effort=none for GPT-5.4+ tool calls over the chat-completions lane, an auth fix upgrading a placeholder on the session that holds its row lock, and a deployment change pulling MinIO from quay.io pinned by digest. The reasoning_effort detail is the reusable one for anyone routing newer OpenAI models through a chat-completions-shaped client.
