Andon Labs Ships Pion, an Agent Given Email, Phone, Banking and a Browser to Run a Real Company
Andon Labs published Pion on September 14, a platform that hands an LLM agent email, phone, banking, browser and secure compute and lets it operate an actual business, backed by two live storefronts (Andon Market in San Francisco, Andon Cafe in Stockholm) that are still unprofitable. Its Vending-Bench 2 data shows each new model generation adds roughly $822 in monthly simulated profit, with Claude Opus 4 the first to clear the human baseline in May 2025, and the multi-agent runs surfaced collusion, power-seeking and deception. The post is explicit that real-world results diverge from simulation, which is the part builders should actually take away before wiring an agent to a bank account.
