Anthropic Picks Accenture as Its First Embedded Evaluator, Each Side Committing $1B Over Five Years

Anthropic and Accenture announced a partnership to place a team of independent evaluators inside Anthropic with access comparable to an employee's, red-teaming models, running alignment assessments, testing safeguards, and reporting incidents publicly. Each company expects to invest at least $1B over five years, $2B combined; Accenture brings the Faculty team it acquired. The deal is non-exclusive and Anthropic says it is also in talks with METR — this is the first concrete implementation of Amodei's slowdown-and-oversight proposal.
