Kimi K3 Lands on Amazon Bedrock as a 2.8-Trillion-Parameter Open-Weight Model
AWS Machine Learning Blog·high signal
AWS announced Kimi K3 from Moonshot AI on Bedrock on September 18, describing it as the first open model at 2.8 trillion parameters, with a 1M-token context window, native vision, and roughly 2.5x the scaling efficiency of Kimi K2. It is the first open-weight model on Bedrock to support explicit prompt caching to cut latency and input cost. It ships as both a US geographic profile (us.moonshotai.kimi-k3) and a global cross-Region profile (global.moonshotai.kimi-k3), the latter about 10% cheaper.
