HubSpot Declares the "Outcomes Era" at Analyst Day, Raises Its 2030 Margin Target to 30% and Pilots a Seats-and-Credits Model
At its September 17 Analyst Day during UNBOUND, HubSpot CEO Yamini Rangan framed software as being measured by "measurable business results" rather than features, and management lifted the long-term non-GAAP operating margin target to 30% by 2030 (21% in 2026, 23-24% in 2027) with a 20% GAAP target and SBC at 10% of revenue. The company is piloting a simplified seats-and-credits model with new customers in the Nordics and Benelux before wider EMEA rollout, explicitly positioning seats as human productivity and credits as agentic work rather than replacing seats outright. Agent adoption hit 19% of Pro Plus customers in August, Breeze Assistant went from 37% to 57%, and monthly agentic actions grew 3.5x.
