ZuckOff is a phone app that watches Bluetooth advertisements for the manufacturer signatures of camera glasses, matching on identifiers such as 0x0D53 for Ray-Ban and Oakley Meta plus product names, and alerting when one is nearby. Detection is easiest at power-on, pairing, or when the glasses leave the case. It runs entirely locally with nothing leaving the phone, logs every device seen, allows whitelisting your own glasses, and ships background alerts and a Home Screen widget on iPhone; it is on both the App Store and Google Play, built by Paweł Szydłowski. It hit 269 points on Hacker News within two hours alongside Wired coverage, which says more about the demand for counter-surveillance tooling than about the app itself.
