Palo Alto turns Unit 42's frontier-model offensive testing into an always-on subscription

On 2026-09-22 Palo Alto Networks launched Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense. It runs Claude Mythos 5, GPT-5.6-Cyber and open-weight models through a proprietary multi-model harness to find, validate and help remediate exposures across an enterprise estate, and Unit 42 analysts validate attack paths. It replaces the earlier point-in-time Frontier AI Exposure Analysis with an annual subscription priced by model mix. Gated cyber models now reach customers packaged as a managed agentic pentest service.
