Zoho Launched Zia Chat as One Conversational Interface Over Its Suite and Entered Vertical SaaS With Seven Industry Apps
On September 23 Zoho launched Zia Chat, a model-agnostic conversational interface that works across sales, marketing, support, HR and finance apps, reaches outside systems through MCP integrations and hands multi-step work to 'Zia Agents'. Early access opens in about a month. On the same day Zoho entered vertical SaaS with seven industry offerings, including RetailIQ (retail CRM), AutoDMS (dealer management), Zoho LOS (loan origination for banks, NBFCs and insurers), MedScribe (clinical documentation) and a free restaurant POS for businesses billing under Rs 12 lakh a year. Sridhar Vembu said the goal is to 'commoditise intelligence' without high token costs. Taking the UI out of individual apps while adding industry-specific depth puts pressure on horizontal incumbents and on point vertical SaaS vendors like dealer-DMS and LOS players.
