Three unrelated sectors shipped products on September 22 that treat the AI agent as a counterparty that needs identity. Baselayer, a KYB fraud vendor, raised $35M and launched 'Know Your Agent' to verify who deployed an agent and whether it may transact. Identity Digital spun out Known, whose DNSid is a DNS/PKI-based open standard (submitted to the IETF) that ties each agent to an accountable organization. Coverage Cat launched an insurance brokerage flow built for personal agents like Muse and Openclaw to drive through an Agent API/MCP. Builders shipping agents that transact should expect KYA-style credential checks at payment and onboarding endpoints soon.
