Salesforce Is Testing Seats, Flex Credits and Per-Resolution Fees at Once, and an Analyst Called It an 'Anxiety-Filled Architecture'
The Register reports that Salesforce CRM GM Bill Patterson told investors the company is designing pricing tied to customer outcomes, including charging for service agents per resolved case. He also acknowledged that cross-domain agents have no single measurable outcome, so Salesforce is building bundles and consumption pricing through Flex Credits as well. AIforce exposes Salesforce data and workflows through Slack and Claude, which weakens the logic of per-user licenses. Gartner has warned that all-you-can-eat AELAs may not be offered at renewal. Buyers should negotiate caps on price increases now.
