Tencent Cloud Launched DataBuddy, an Agent-Native Data Workbench That Claims 95.9% Analysis Accuracy Against 83.5% for Plain NL2SQL
DataBuddy is Tencent Cloud's third 'Buddy' product after CodeBuddy and WorkBuddy. It runs agents for data engineering (pipelines from one natural-language request, with self-healing), governance, analytics and data science, and Tencent says model deployment drops from 30 days to 7. The accuracy gain comes from a business semantic layer ('Unity Semantics') on top of text-to-SQL, the same architectural bet Western BI vendors are making. It connects to existing OLAP engines with no data movement and is live in China, Thailand, South Korea and Indonesia, with Europe and the Americas rolling out.
