On September 23 Berlin's mika closed a €6M seed led by Smedvig Ventures. It sells an AI-native general ledger built for German accounting that handles bookkeeping, VAT returns, annual accounts and tax filings, with trained accountants reviewing the output. Customers can query their books from ChatGPT or Claude over MCP. The company says it serves 800+ small companies (up from 750 a month earlier) and passed €1M annualized revenue this summer, in a German accounting and auditing market valued at €53.8B. The target is the Steuerberater, not QuickBooks.
