Patreon co-founder Sam Yam and two Patreon leads join OpenAI to build a creator product ahead of the Sept 29 DevDay
Sam Yam, Patreon's co-founder and former President and CTO, said on September 23 that he is joining OpenAI to lead a new Creator Product group. Patreon's head of product Drew Rowny and head of engineering Shannon Ma are joining with him. The hires land six days before OpenAI DevDay on September 29 at Fort Mason in San Francisco, which reports point to as the likely launch for creator tools.
