Kilo Code 7.7.9 installs Marketplace plugins straight from a pinned git ref

Kilo-Org/kilocode v7.7.9 (2026-09-23) accepts plugin specs like git:github.com/owner/[redacted]#subdir. It shallow-clones the pinned ref into the plugin cache, and the PR (#14485) names Claude Code, Cline, OpenHands and OpenClaw as marketplaces that already allow this. The same release shows the full nested arguments of a pending MCP tool call in the permission prompt (#14447) and keeps the tail of long bash output in view. Plugins no longer need npm publishing, which also means Kilo users should check the ref they install.
