At the same September 23 session, White House OSTP director Michael Kratsios used the word 'superintelligence' throughout his remarks. He said rapid progress is no reason to pause advanced AI or constrain it with new global governance structures. He pointed to the Carolina Principles, which keep regulation under national control and limit international cooperation to voluntary standards and best-practice sharing. The US government is now publicly to the deregulatory side of the CEOs whose labs it regulates. Altman, Amodei and Delangue all asked for international standards or disclosure rules.
