Paychex launched WISE Hire on September 23, the same day it reported Q1 FY2027 revenue of $1.63B, up 6%. Management Solutions grew only 4%, while PEO and Insurance grew 12%. WISE Hire uses agents for sourcing, screening, scheduling and hiring coaching, and posts jobs to Google for Jobs, Meta's job marketplace and ChatGPT. Paychex claims 4x faster hires on average, a vendor figure. An HCM incumbent with about 840,000 customers is bundling agentic recruiting, which hits point ATS tools for SMBs directly, while its core payroll segment grows in the low single digits.
