Zed v1.21.0 (2026-09-23) adds `agent.prevent_idle_sleep`, enabled by default, which blocks idle system sleep while agent threads are running. The same release adds BYOK for Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra, Sol and Luna, SuperGrok sign-in for Grok models, DeepSeek Flash 4.1, and better ACP compatibility. It covers one common failure in long unattended agent turns, a laptop going idle and sleeping mid-run, though it won't stop a sleep triggered by a closed lid or a battery policy.
