Anthropic asks shareholders to give Amodei and six co-founders 50.1% voting control ahead of an IPO
The Information via Reuters/Business Standard (corroborated by Finimize and Investing.com)·high signal
According to The Information, Anthropic wants shareholder approval for a Palantir-style special share class giving its seven co-founders 50.1% of voting power on most matters, as long as at least three of them keep a minimum stake. Board elections for the seven-seat board, which has one vacancy, are exempt, and employees would get a separate class of shares that breaks ties on some issues. Buyers of the eventual IPO would get economic exposure with almost no control.
