OpenEvidence raises $250M at $15B and pivots into oncology drug development

The clinical AI search engine, which roughly 40% of US physicians use, raised $250M led by a16z and Byers Capital at a $15B valuation, up from $12B in January, bringing its total to more than $1B raised in a year. CEO Daniel Nadler told Forbes the company will develop rare-cancer therapies, with the first drug entering trials before year-end and 3-5 more candidates next year. It also announced an integration with Memorial Sloan Kettering's Epic workflows and OncoKB.
