Google made Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar generally available to enterprise customers. It pairs native speech-to-speech dialogue with low-latency streamed video of an animated persona that lip-syncs and changes language automatically across 97 languages. It supports asynchronous tool calls to CRM and ERP systems, US and EU endpoints, provisioned throughput and SynthID watermarking, and custom avatars are allowlist-only. This is a separate launch from the Gemini 3.8 TTS release covered on 09-24.
