Bitget halts withdrawals after a $351.6M breach via spoofed transfers to its wallet backend
CoinDesk (corroborated by Bloomberg)·medium signal
Bitget found unauthorized transfers at 18:31 UTC on Sept 24. Attackers compromised a wallet backend and spoofed transaction data to trigger its authorization process, while private keys and cold wallets were not touched. CEO Gracy Chen says its $464M User Protection Fund covers the loss, and trading and deposits continue while withdrawals stay suspended.
