Microsoft's Copilot super app puts chat, Cowork, GitHub coding, Autopilot agents and Office files in one app
Microsoft launched its refreshed Copilot app with three parts: Home (Chat plus Cowork), Code, and Autopilot. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can now be created and edited inside Copilot while teammates edit the same files from the regular Office apps. Home and Code roll out through the Frontier program over the coming weeks, and Autopilot agents go into private preview at the end of September. Satya Nadella had promised the app on the 29 July earnings call. For builders, GitHub Copilot now sits in the same app as Microsoft's consumer and M365 agents rather than living only in the IDE.
